Hibernation
Feb 18 - 27, 2022
The shown works are a review of my painting and illustration experiences, inspired by the works of surrealist artists and Iranian painting characters, along with a new concept of identity in contemporary art. Basically, the desire for Iranian identity and its association with the anonymity of contemporary art is a challenge that my works try to represent. Rocks, trees, buildings, horses, flowers and mannequins. Elements that can each create an isthmian and simian atmosphere in combination with each other, rocks that land recklessly, flowers that experience life and death every day, and horses that fall asleep with their owner. It is a space that depicts the suffering of anonymity, and its treatment seems to be sinking in a safe place with high and strong walls. But it is interesting to me that the audience has a personal impression of my work. In other words, each audience reflects a unique narrative from their mind, an exceptional narrative for the hibernation of contemporary Iranian art
